FIELD: application of protective coats on cast-iron or steel parts. SUBSTANCE: method of application of coats consists in immersing the parts in melt of aluminum, zinc or their alloys. Proposed device includes bath made from material which is inert to material of melt or coated with such material. At least one solid part made from material inert to material of melt or coated with such material is placed in bath. Bath is elongated vertically. Solid part is cylindrical in shape and is placed coaxially relative to bah. Bath is provided with heaters arranged outside the bath and inside solid part. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and efficiency due to reduced surface of heating and additional internal hat. 8 cl, 1 dwg
