FIELD: vacuum-freeze-drying of liquid products in pharmaceutical, microbiological, food industries, and factory-farm enterprises. SUBSTANCE: method includes foaming of liquid product, its application to carriers, and freezing followed by its drying with destruction of dried layer of product; in the process product being supplied arrives at carriers in layer-by-layer manner at different dispersion and particle-reduction factor of each layer. Freeze drier has case, desublimator, air and noncondensables outlet pipes, carriers in the form of wire brushes, springs, bundles, or balls, foam generators, power supplies, device for removing dried layer of product from carrier surfaces, and conveyers for removing dry product from camber through gate valve; novelty is that carriers are made for adjustable rotation about their axes, that foam generators are disposed in bottom part of chamber, and that charge chamber has outlet pipes for evacuating gas and liquid product not used in the course of foaming.
