FIELD: electrical engineering; ignition devices for light fuel mixtures. SUBSTANCE: ignition device that may be used both for new internal- combustion engines and for those retrofitted in the course of service has metal case, ceramic insulator expanded therein that accommodates central electrode and is provided with case-mounted side electrode that forms spark gap with butt-end of central electrode, and spark-gap ignition booster incorporating tubular insulator accommodating central electrode as well as capacitor in the form of ceramic bushing with plates and locking member. Device is also provided with housing for spark plug and ignition dope for spark plug, as well as with upper electrode contacting one of capacitor plates disposed on butt-ends of ceramic bushing, other plate being in contact with metal housing of spark plug; upper electrode mounts locking member and central electrode of booster. EFFECT: simplified design, enhanced service life of device at reduced metal input and overall dimensions. 1 cl, 1 dwg
