FIELD: electrical engineering; igniting low-gravity fuel mixtures in internal-combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: proposed ignition device has case accommodating spark plug and its spark amplifier. Spark plug has metal body with ceramic insulator expanded therein and accommodating central electrode. Spark plug body mounts side electrode that forms spark gap together with central electrode end. Spark amplifier has central electrode and capacitor in the form of ceramic bushing with plates. Locking member installed on central electrode of spark plug is coupled with central electrode of spark amplifier. This locking member mounts capacitor ceramic bushing that has two plates. One of plates is assembled of at least three parts joined together, two of these parts being disposed on opposite ends of bushing and third one, inside the latter. Other (external) plate is installed in drilling made on outer surface of ceramic bushing that carries additional side electrode of spark amplifier. Other end of spark amplifier side electrode is coupled with metal body of spark plug. Amplifier central electrode contacts upper end part of plate and locking member contacts bottom end and inner parts. Heat-resistant electric insulating material is disposed in clearance between case and other components of device.

EFFECT: enlarged operating temperature range, enhanced electrical characteristics, vibration and mechanical strength of device.
