FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves using capsule having dielectric bushing having cathode cap put on one end and anode cap put on the other end. Coating containing one or several metal microelements covers the external surface of the anode cap. Galvanic element and resistor connected in series to each other and connected to internal surfaces of anode and cathode caps with leads not connected to each other are placed inside the capsule. Electric current intensity flowing through gingival and other soft tissues is selected within the limits of 1-30 mcA. The treatment course is 15-30 days long. One or two procedures are administered every day each 20-30 min long. The capsule is slowly moved along the gingival and oral mucous membrane surface making stops using for instance muscles of cheeks, lips and tongue. Resistor is selected within the limits of 0.02-1.5 MOhm. Different metal micro-elements optionally coat separate areas of anode cap surface areas with single micro-element applied to each individual surface area. EFFECT: simplified treatment procedures; enhanced effectiveness of treatment. 4 cl, 1 dwg
