APPARATUS FOR STIMULATING MOUTH CAVITY Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, possibly treatment of diseases of mouth cavity such as paradontosis. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for stimulating mouth cavity is in the form of three-dimensional body with electrically conductive surface layer. Surface of said body may be curvilinear. Maximum size of body is in range 10 - 25 mm. Outer surface of body may be made of one or several metals-microelements, possibly of their alloys. Separate surface portions of body may be made of different metals- microelements. Above mentioned body is placed in mouth cavity and slowly at interruptions for 5 - 30 s it is moved along surface of cheeks, lips and gums by means of muscles of cheeks, lips and tongue. Such procedure is going on for 20 - 30 min. Body of apparatus may be placed several times on the same portions of mucous membrane including surface of gums. EFFECT: simplified low-cost apparatus with increased useful life period for treating mouth cavity and organs connected through information channels with biologically active points of mouth cavity. 4 cl, 3 dwg
