EQUIPMENT FOR STIMULATION OF MOUTH CAVITY Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, medicinal equipment. SUBSTANCE: the innovation deals with treating diseases of mouth cavity, parodontitis, in particular. For stimulation of mouth cavity one should use special equipment designed as a capsule and containing dielectric socket with two conducting caps at its ends. External surfaces of these caps are made of different metals- microelements. A wire is situated inside this capsule, its ends are connected with internal surfaces of both caps. Capsule should be put into the mouth to be then slowly replaced along surfaces of cheeks, lips and gums with the help of buccal, labial and lingual muscles. During one and the same procedure lasting for 20-30 min, capsule could be observed several times in one and the same parts of mucous membrane including gingival surface. One should carry out 1-2 procedures daily. Therapy course lasts for 15-30 d. The innovation in question creates more simplified, cheaper equipment for treating diseases of mouth cavity and organs associated with biologically active points of mouth cavity due to information channels.
