FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to application of heparin- protein that (a) is deprived of proteinase activity; (b) it is localized in peripheral neutrophil leukocytes and (c) it is a chemotaxic agent for monocytes. Heparin-binding protein is used for preparing medicinal agent for prophylaxis or treatment of sepsis, gram-negative sepsis, septic shock or disseminated intravascular coagulation. Invention allows to use heparin-binding protein after sepsis symptoms display, i. e. in processes developing after endotoxemia. EFFECT: valuable medicinal properties of protein. 13 cl, 4 dwg, 6 ex
