SUBSTANCE: method involves transferring separate portions of decorative layer of transfer film from carrier layer onto substrate, with decorative layer comprising adhesive activated by solar energy and with heated embossment tool being used if necessary; activating at least partly adhesive layer before feeding of transfer film into embossment tool and activating adhesive layer prior to delivery into embossment tool by means of radiant energy supplied only to surface portions, onto which decorative layer is to be applied.
