FIELD: conversion of electromagnetic energy into mechanical energy. SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic drive includes cylindrical chamber with elastic walls which is partially filled with ferromagnetic fluid and two electric windings located in one lateral surface of chamber near its ends; drive is also provided with cylindrical friction gear train mounted on opposite side relative to windings and provided with two wheels; ends of chamber are mounted in flexible supports for longitudinal axial displacement.
