FACILITY FOR MOVEMENT THROUGH PIPE-LINE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2210765 C1

FIELD: pipe-line transport, nondestructive inspection of pipe-line with movement of flaw detection equipment. SUBSTANCE: facility has drive of reciprocating motion and mechanism for dislocation over internal surface of pipe-line. Mechanism for dislocation comes in the form of cylindrical sheath produced from cord fabric with end parts turned inwards that is freely placed inside pipe-line. Butts of end parts turned inwards are interjoined leak-tight around edges with formation of closed ring elastic chamber partially filled with ferromagnetic liquid. Drive of reciprocating motion comes in the form of permanent magnet positioned outside of pipe-line for movement over it in longitudinal and lateral directions and ferromagnetic disc installed concentrically in axial hole of ring chamber for elastic longitudinal movement between limiters within bounds of chamber length. EFFECT: raised functional reliability and simplified design of facility. 2 dwg
