METHOD FOR SELECTIVE CUTTING IN NATURAL PLANTATIONS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: forestry. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing a layout of biogroups of trees in the form of polygons defining site of growing valuable trees and trees with microsystems in natural plantation; measuring distances between trees and determining taxation coefficients inside each biogroup; marking sites of growing of adjacent trees and protective zone around them; calculating areas of places where valuable trees and trees with microsystems grow; providing outlines of arrangement of biogroups of trees in plantation and preparing a layout of plantation into portions and technological corridors passing around marked biogroups. Method is used in the process of performing selective or care cuttings, in particular, in natural middle-aged or coming plantations. EFFECT: increased efficiency and provision for keeping valuable trees and trees with microsystems during cuttings and for subsequent monitoring of their development. 4 cl, 2 dwg
