FIELD: forestry, in particular, woodland management with maximal usage of natural renewal in economically exploited softwood and hardwood.
SUBSTANCE: method involves providing units with old growth and ripening woods having all kinds of wood and formation of compartments; cutting compartment lines in units with formation of through cuts; establishing first cut at eastern side of compartment, with felling direction being oriented toward prevailing winds; performing felling in autumn-winter period, with wood cutting cycle making 5-6 years; at final felling year, leveling compartment lines by means of cultivators or harrows and planting crops in 2-3 rows with alternation of valuable forest crops and underbrush in one planting place.
EFFECT: prolonged exploitation of wood stock in compartment, increased efficiency of plantation, improved resistance to root rot and pests, reduced area of units, and increased fire resistance.
