FIELD: experimental equipment used in fire-fighting. SUBSTANCE: instrument has casing with open part and radiation panel fixed in casing at an angle to surface under test. During tests, instrument is applied with its open part to wood surface under test, with following switching on of radiation panel and keeping it for predetermined period of time. Finally, radiation panel is switched off and instrument is removed from wood surface under test. Spatial position of wood surface under test and its physical parameters such as roughness, hardness etc are of no importance. Quality of fire-fighting treatment is judged on the basis of information on the effect of supplied dosed heat flux. EFFECT: increased efficiency by providing testing without use of open flame and without removal of sample, with result being kept on object of control. 3 dwg
