FIELD: foundry, possibly manufacture of turbine blades of refractory alloys for aircraft engines, for ships and other transport and power plants. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes crystallizers-electrodes and casting mold with working cavities. In bottom portion of casting mold there are through openings whose number corresponds to that of working cavities. Plugs made of material of casting are inserted in said openings. Sealing made of elastic fire-resistant material is arranged between casting mold and plug. Plugs are in contact with easy-to-melt material. Casting mold is heated in furnace before filling it. After melting electrically conductive material, filling mold with alloy and partially melting plug, electric circuit is closed between members of apparatus. Reliable electric contact of members of electric circuit and high fluid-tightness of bottom portion of mold prevent metal escape through lower portion of mold. It allows to make large-size castings with height exceeding 100-120 mm. EFFECT: possibility for making large-size castings. 1 cl, 1 dwg
