FIELD: transport engineering; electric vehicle current collectors. SUBSTANCE: proposed current collector for electric locomotives contains movable frames with lifting mechanism and automatic height adjuster mounted on roof of electric locomotive and insulated from roof. Current collector is provided with trolleys on which pan and pressure pickup are mounted by means of carriers. Aerofoil section hinge secured on frames is provided with slat and flap on front (leading) and rear (trailing) edges, respectively, which are mounted for movement in vertical plane. Slat and flap control system arranged inside aerofoil section includes series- connected supply unit, quick-acting pneumatic servo drive and slave mechanism, outlets of pressure pickup being connected with inlet electric contacts of pneumatic servo drive. EFFECT: improved stability of contact pressure of current collector onto contact wire at high speeds of running. 3 dwg
