FIELD: production of aluminum. SUBSTANCE: invention is concerned with winning of aluminum by way of fire electrolysis in correspondence with Hall-Herult method, with technological installations meant for realization of this method in industry, with devices controlling heat flows in bathes and cooling facilities which secures this control. Technical result of invention lies in removal and dispersal of thermal energy released in bath by means of easily installed aids which do not require any substantial modification of bath. Electrolysis bath has body made of steel, elements of internal coat and cathode system. Bath is equipped with cooling facilities which blow air in by localized streams distributed around body of bath. Air is injected at rate from 10 to 100 m/s, preferably, at 20 to 70 m/s. Installation to win aluminum has electrolysis baths fitted with above-mentioned cooling facilities. EFFECT: removal and dispersal of heat released in bath. 22 cl, 6 dwg
