FIELD: processes for controlling parameters of aluminum cell at producing aluminum by reduction from alumina dissolved in bath of melt cryolite.
SUBSTANCE: process is realized due to adding to electrolytic bath during predetermined time intervals p (periods) of preset quantity Q9P0 of aluminum trifluoride calculated according net relation Q(p) = Qint(p) - Qc1(p) + Qt(p) where Qint(p) - so called self-adapting term taking into account common demands of cell in AlF3 calculated on base of mean value Qm(p) of really added AlF3 during N last periods; Qc1 -correction term corresponding to equivalent amount of AlF3 contained in alumina that is added to cell for period p; Qt(p) -correction term representing usually growing function of fluctuation of measured temperature T(p) of bath relative to preset temperature value. Invention provides possibility for effective regulation of acidity degree of aluminum cell at electric current intensity up to 500 kA in electrolyte bath containing AlF3 more than 11%.
EFFECT: improved process of controlling aluminum cell parameters.
