FIELD: combustion of liquid fuels to produce heat energy used for hotwater supply or boiler systems. SUBSTANCE: burner has housing mounted at inlet of first combustion tank of liquid-fuel combustion apparatus accommodating liquid-fuel injector and means for igniting liquid fuel being injected, and fan feeding combustion air into burner housing; burner also has its housing temperature metering facility disposed inside mentioned housing, pump delivering liquid fuel under pressure to liquid-fuel injector, preheat pipe running from mentioned fan to housing and mounted at inlet of combustion tank, and heat-insulating slab installed between first combustion tank and rear section of burner housing for shielding sensitive parts of burner against heat transferred from first combustion tank. In addition apparatus is provided with second and third combustion tanks forming cylindrical combustion chambers whose shape and size are identical or almost identical to those of firsttank combustion chamber, diameter of the latter being greater than that of liquid-fuel injector; this combustion chamber is elongated in direction of gas mixture supply and serves for primary combustion of gas mixture introduced into this chamber along its center line; second-tank combustion chamber is joined at its inlet to outlet of first-tank combustion chamber through first small-diameter pipe connection to provide for secondary combustion of gas primarily burned in first-tank combustion chamber; inlet of third-tank combustion chamber is joined through second small-diameter pipe connection to outlet of second-tank combustion chamber and functions to ensure complete combustion of gas burnt in second chamber prior to being exhausted into the atmosphere so as to ensure better completeness of liquid fuel combustion, to reduce amount of unburned gases and harmful exhaust gases emitted into the atmosphere. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of apparatus, reduced probability of environment pollution. 6 cl, 13 dwg
