FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves taking patient synovial fluid samples for determining medium molecular weight peptides level in mean optical density units under 254 nm wavelength conditions, and necrotic substances level after their having been precipitated with 5% perchloric acid solution determined from optical density difference at wavelengths of 260 nm and 320 nm in contrast to perchloric acid solution. The medium molecular weight peptides level values being greater than 0.350 units and necrotic substances level being greater than 2.0 units/ml, Reuter disease is predicted to be the case. EFFECT: high accuracy of prognosis.
