FIELD: water treatment. SUBSTANCE: oil- containing water is ultrasonically treated during 3 to 100 sec in flow- cavitation vessel at ultrasound frequency 520-600 kHz and intensity 4-12 W/sq.cm, after which resulting oil-containing emulsion is returned into aqueous medium where oil is subjected to biodegradation with microorganisms and plants. Apparatus comprises flow-cavitation vessel in the form of tube with connectors. Tube hollow encloses emission elements uniformly disposed all over tube space. Electrical connector of tube is linked to power cable with autonomous power source. EFFECT: enabled continuous oil degradation, including degradation under adverse weather conditions. 12 cl, 13 dwg
