FIELD: explosives. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing fine pyroxyline and spherical gunpowders, including those with expired storage term, into new-destination gunpowders, in particular into hunting gunpowder for shot cartridges. According to invention, emulsion gunpowder processing method involves stirring of gunpowder and additives with ethyl acetate (1.9-2.9 wt.parts) in water (2.5-3.0 wt.parts), adding emulsifier-protective colloid, and removing ethyl acetate at heating of mixture to 92-94 C, said emulsifier-protective colloid being added before ethyl acetate is poured in. EFFECT: reduced process time with lower consumption of ethyl acetate and water, and increased yield of valid fraction. 1 tbl
