FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of spherical powders for small arm, particularly, for 5.6 mm-gun bullet with annular ignition. Proposed method comprises making powder lacquer in water medium in presence of 1 wt % of nitrocellulose consisting of fine-grained pyroxyline BTM-grade powder with expired guarantee shelf life and process wastes from previous process jobs in amount of up to 30 wt %, adding solvent in mixing, as well as diphenylamine and graphite or commercial carbon. After adding protective colloid, i.e. leather glue, powder lacquer is crushed into spherical particles. Then, sodium sulfate is added thereto and mixed. Solvent is distilled from powder elements in several steps and different temperatures of heat carrier.
EFFECT: good ballistic characteristics.
