FIELD: friction clamps for making thimbles; guards protecting objects against unauthorized opening provided with ears for passing length of rope. SUBSTANCE: device has body with two plates located on opposite ends and made from material possessing high surface hardness. Located between lateral surfaces of body and cover is protective member made from material possessing high surface hardness. Insert inside of rope length preliminarily secured in body is made in form of longitudinal member manufactured from material possessing high surface hardness. Pin made from material of high surface hardness is pressed in rope length which is preliminarily secured in body. According to one version of invention, envelope is secured on end of rope length used for preliminary placing in body; this envelope is located inside body for rotation.
