SUBSTANCE: breech block of artillery gun includes rotary frame, obturator pad with unit of its pressing against frame, centering plate with duct where firing pin is installed and safety mechanism including guide, stopper and spring-loaded rest located in radial hole of frame. Breech block is fitted with indicator of absence of safety mechanism coming in the form of element mounted in hole of frame for sinking beyond side surface of frame with interaction with guide of safety mechanism.
