SUBSTANCE: power regulator has half-bridge control unit 2, generator incorporating circuit 5, two control units 6, 7, and at least two switching members such as field- effect transistors 8,9 most suited to half-bridge circuits; transistor gates are connected to outputs of control units 6, 7 of half-bridge control unit 2. Switch-over time of switching members 8, 9 and, hence, electric power supplied to load K may be varied by varying operating cycle of output voltage in generator circuit 5. Half-bridge control unit 2 is provided with terminals 5a, 5b for connecting external components, especially resistor and capacitor, for setting its operating frequency. Novelty is that terminals 5a, 5b designed for connecting operating frequency setting devices for half-bridge control unit 2 are provided with resistance circuit 14 and capacitor 15 known as such. Resistance circuit 14 has two variable resistors 16, 17, of which first one 16 is mounted so that it functions when capacitor 15 is being charged and other resistor 17 functions when capacitor 15 is being discharged.
