FIELD: short-circuit protective gear for semiconductor switches. SUBSTANCE: device used for regulating power supplied to load 13 from voltage source 12 has field-effect transistor 21 that functions to enable or disable passage of current from voltage source 12 to load 13 in response to control pulse transferred to gate 3 of field-effect transistor 21. Power regulator incorporates means 24 for measuring variations in potential 3 across field-effect transistor 21 and for enabling or disabling passage of control pulse basing on measurement of variations in potential 3. Power regulator measurement device enables driving field-effect transistor 21 in conduction when it is found that voltage stops rising due to Miller effect as measurement device starts functioning and correspondingly measurement device does not ensure driving field-effect transistor 21 in conduction when voltage rise is noted. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and speed of device. 4 cl, 4 dwg
