FIELD: processes for shaping metals, namely manufacture of gear wheels. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of shaping members of toothed profile by one pass by means of grinding abrasive tool; using tool with mean size of grains in range 60 -400 micrometers with hardness from BM2 to CM2 and structure number 16 -20 in order to combine shaping and finish operations at lowered intensity of heat generation. Grinding abrasive tool may be made with possibility of dressing out of corundum or silicone carbide. Speed of grinding by abrasive tool in point of its contact with blank is selected in range 20 - 60 m/s. Part feed rate is determined according to relation given in description of invention. EFFECT: improved design providing lowered heat generation at grinding. 3 cl, 2 dwg
