FIELD: rubber industry. SUBSTANCE: invention may be used when manufacturing rubber parts based on carbochain rubbers with elevated ozone resistance. Method consists in treating rubber for 5-7 h with organic solvent solution of reactive substance containing 2-mercaptobenzothiazole and sulfur followed by drying until solvent is removed. Substance is then subjected to heat treatment at vulcanization temperature during 40-60 min. Reactive substance can additionally contain antiozonant, in particular N-isopropyl-N'-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine or 2,2,4-trimethyl-6- ethoxy-1,2-dihydroquinoline. Proportions of components are following, wt parts: organic solvent 100, 2-mercaptobenzothiazole 4-5, sulfur 1-2, and antiozonant 8-10. EFFECT: increased ozone resistance of rubber products. 2 tbl, 2 ex
