FIELD: metallurgy; production of master alloys for refining steel. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes introduction of solid ferrovanadium particles in aluminum or aluminum-containing material melt where process of application is performed at temperature of 820-950 C for 60-240 s till forming of film 0.37-1.104 mm thick. Proposed method makes it possible to obtain dense and strong coats of aluminum or aluminum-containing materials on ferrovanadium for forming local zones at alloying vanadium-containing steels.
