FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, particularly, methods of production of alloying compositions for steel refining. SUBSTANCE: method includes introduction of solid particles of ferrotitanium into melt of aluminum or aluminum-containing material. Process of coating application is carried out at melt temperature of 600-750 C with holding for 10-90 s to form a film of 0.060-0.068 mm thick. The proposed method provides for artificial local zones where processes of alloying, deoxidation, refining take place in order to obtain more stable content of titanium in steel with reduced consumption of ferrotitanium.
