FIELD: measuring concentration of analyzed material in medium. SUBSTANCE: manufacture of thin-layer electrochemical element includes following procedures: piercing hole through sheet of electrically resistive material, this hole forming side wall of element; applying first thin electrode layer on one side of sheet passing above hole to form first butt-end wall of element; applying second thin electrode layer on other side of sheet passing above hole to form second butt-end wall of element that covers first electrode aligned with the latter; providing for means enabling liquid passage to element. Method is also proposed for manufacturing electrochemical element and description is given of electrochemical element and thin-film electrochemical element. EFFECT: enhanced measurement accuracy, reduced amount of sample taken for analysis, reduced difference in measurement results caused by element asymmetry. 51 cl, 15 dwg
