FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: device has round lens and supporting members designed as four diametrically opposite semicircular loops. The loops are positioned in the lens plane. Fixation ligatures are conducted through the upper and lower loop pairs. The lens and supporting members are manufactured from polymethyl methacrylate. The fixation ligatures are manufactured from Supramide or Prolene. Method involves using two fixation ligatures for fixing the lens on scleral capsule from two opposite sides. The ligatures for fixing all loops are inserted before implanting the lens. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in restoring vision function after gun shot injuries of eyeball. 4 cl, 2 dwg
