FIELD: medicine, in particular, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: artificial lens of eye is made of monolithic plastic hydrophilic material. Supporting member is manufactured as a disc which front surface carries tape-like bearing element made as a loop. Internal parts of loop base adjoin optical part, and vacant end of loop protrudes beyond disc boundary for 6-7 mm. Scleral patch in shape of isosceles triangle is formed in process of operation with its base facing the limb. Isosceles triangle of smaller size is cut out of deep layers of sclera with its base facing the limb. It is dissected leaving horizontal jumper of scleral fibers. Then cataract is extracted and artificial lens is implanted. In this case, disc-shaped supporting member is fixed in capsular sac or on remnants of rear capsule, and loop-like bearing element is brought out of eye cavity underneath scleral patch over external surface of iris of the eye and is fixed on vertex of dissected internal triangle. Surface scleral patch is sewed up to adjacent sclera. EFFECT: enhanced stability of hypotensive effect, intraocular correction of aphasia. 2 cl, 1 dwg
