FIELD: medical equipment. SUBSTANCE: heater has outer flexible enclosure and multilayer packet of burden located inside enclosure. Packet layer adjoining to burden is made perforated and is covered with thin-filament filter. Packet is secured at its one side to pocket formed open and located in it. Water-permeable member is positioned on pocket bottom. Aqueous solution of electrolyte is poured into pocket, where it comes into reaction with burden, such reaction being accompanied with heat release. Tightening member is positioned in central part of packet and secured to its surfaces. Pocket and tightening member allow heat release of heater to be regulated. Thermochemical heater is used for physiotherapeutic action and for recovering thermal state of supercooled individual, as well as for rendering aid to sufferers and patients under field conditions.
