FIELD: medicine; electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and electrical engineering and can be used, in particular, in an ophthalmic lens device in which a battery cell corresponds to an internal accessible volume of a laminated battery structure. Method of operating a biomedical device involves using, in a laminated battery structure, volumes filled with an electrochemical active substance, wherein the active components of the cathode and the anode are sealed with a laminated sheet of a biocompatible material. During operation of the device, control of the output power of discrete energisation elements is also provided, due to the use of a control unit comprising a controller and transistors. Device is also provided for powering a biomedical device in which at least first, second and third current collectors of a laminated battery device are connected with a diode inside the interconnecting element. In some embodiments, the scope of the inventive method and device may include any biocompatible compact device or article for which energisation elements containing chemical components are required.
EFFECT: higher reliability and safety of the device, with multiple energisation elements.
