FIELD: agriculture, in particular, horticulture. SUBSTANCE: method involves, 5-6 days before sowing, wetting lilac seeds in vessels containing 0.03% aqueous solution of potassium permanganate; mixing and changing solution 6-7 times a day at total exposure of 5 days; preliminarily exposing seeds to magnetostatic field with the intensity of 600 Oe for 24 hours; directly before sowing process, exposing seeds for 5 min to pulsed magnetic field with amplitude value of magnetic induction pulse of 0.05 T. EFFECT: reduced time of preparing seeds for sowing process and increased rootstock yield per unit of area. 1 tbl
