FIELD: fire-fighting equipment. SUBSTANCE: sprinkler has casing, deflector, locking member, which normally closes casing outlet opening, and temperature sensitive device. Thrust member made in the form of glass tube is enclosed between locking member and deflector. Glass tube destructing member is made in the form of torsion spring, whose one curved end is rigidly fixed on one side of glass tube on casing and other curved end is fixed in strained state in groove formed in temperature sensitive device. The latter is formed as fusible lock mounted on outer bracket, which is rigidly fixed on casing. When fire occurs and ambient temperature exceeds admissible value, temperature sensitive device is destructed at site where spring curved end is fixed in groove of said device. As a result, said end of spring destructs tube part having decreased wall thickness to result in opening of casing outlet end. Fire extinguishing liquid flow bursts through outlet end and flushes away tube remains and other not-fixed members of apparatus and is further fed to fire zone. After destructing tube, free curved end of spring continues its motion and at the end of its motion abuts against casing beyond sprinkling zone. Sprinkler of such construction may be used for automatic switching of fire suppressing units. EFFECT: simplified construction, reduced inertia, full compliance with requirements imposed on fire-fighting equipment. 6 dwg
