FIELD: demercurization of solid-mercury- containing wastes; extraction of mercury from mercury-containing ores and materials. SUBSTANCE: thermal chamber has tubular housing rigidly connected with loading bin. Chute mounted inside tubular housing is provided with intake neck of cylindrical section. Chute is connected with support by means of hinge; said support is rigidly secured on housing. Connected to chute on opposite end of hinge is vibrator at regulated frequency of oscillations. Fuel burners mounted above open side of chute are connected to collector and are provided with fuel ignition system. Housing is provided with gas and mercury vapor suction branch pipe. EFFECT: simplified construction; enhanced reliability; reduced power requirements; enhanced ecological safety. 2 cl, 3 dwg
