FIELD: mining industry; concentration of minerals in flushing metal-bearing sands, for example. SUBSTANCE: proposed separator includes tank with partitions at the bottom and at the top. Partitions are inclined towards motion of hydraulic suspension. Distance between partitions and/or width of tank increases in way of flow. Tank bottom is provided with unloading unit. Proposed separator ensures enhanced efficiency of separation and classification of solid phase of flow of hydraulic suspension through reduction of height of settling of entrapped particles and stepped change of rate of flow of liquid medium at continuous removal of sediment.
