FIELD: concentration of minerals; extraction of gold from placers, ores and concentration tailings; extraction of other heavy minerals. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes forming of magnetic field either preliminarily or in the course of delivery of pulp on upper branch of moving endless belt of precipitation ferromagnetic structure which is inclined relative to level, delivery of pulp, settling of gold on said structure and obtaining gold concentrate, separation of magnetic fraction from concentrate thus obtained by magnetic separation on lower branch of moving endless belt; at last partial cutting-off magnetic fraction and directing it to pulp for self- generation of precipitation structure. Device proposed for realization of this method included endless belt mounted on drums; upper branch of this belt is inclined relative to level; device is also provided with drive, magnetic system located under upper branch of belt, pulp supply unit, additional magnetic system including several magnetic elements mounted immovably on external surface of lower drum, chute mounted under drums, cutting-off knife mounted above surface of lower drum at point where it is embraced by endless belt , magnetic fraction receiver and mechanism for transportation of magnetic fraction to pulp supply unit.
