FIELD: mining industry, particularly, well drilling. SUBSTANCE: downhole motor has adapter rigidly connected with rock cutting tool and shaft of working member, covers closing both ends of carrying body, and upper and lower adapters rigidly connecting the body with drill pipe string and with adapter through sealing gland. Toothed working member is made of sun gear and several planetary pinions uniformly located round sun gear. Located between planetary pinions are one intake and one discharge channels, each of them is communicated with central and planetary pinions. Carrying body is closed from both ends by covers. Upper cover has holes coaxial with inlet channels, and lower cover is made with holes coaxial with discharge channels. Application of said downhole motor in well drilling provides for considerable increase of its efficiency due to high rotation speed of rock cutting tool irrespective of well depth, multiple reduction of emergency situations, down time and drill pipe consumption as drill pipe does not rotate in the course of drilling.
