FIELD: mining industry; applicable in potassium ore and other industries in construction of dumps from washes of ore concentration, and also in mineral opencast mining. SUBSTANCE: method includes formation of preloading layer of salt washes by hydraulic filling and subsequent filling of washes after consolidation of grounds of soft base. Pulp for hydraulic filling of preloading layer is prepared on slope of salt dump and supplied from height not exceeding height of stable vertical slope. Washes filling is carried out periodically on preloading layer after its hydraulic filling up to nominal thickness which is determined after experimental hydraulic filling of soft base with salt washes and determination of characteristics of soft base consolidation. EFFECT: exclusion of emergency situations and faultless operation of salt dump, considerable reduction of power consumption and labor input in hydraulically filling of salt dump. 2 cl, 1 dwg
