FIELD: mechanical engineering; power steam turbines. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for use at mounting, repairing and in-service checking of powerful steam turbines. Centering is carried out by preliminarily setting support bearings on designed weight line of shaftline deflection with subsequent correction of position of each bearing with due account of misalignment found by means of calibrating curve by reading of dynamoment jack. According to invention, two such jacks are used on each bearing. Said jacks are made in lower part of shell and are arranged radially and symmetrically at different sides from vertical. EFFECT: simplified centering, elimination of horizontal misalignment. 4 dwg
