FIELD: filter elements for purification of air, water, fuels and other media. SUBSTANCE: filter element has body consisting of sorbent particles bound with thermoplastic polymer whose ends are provided with polymer coating. Filter element is made in form of hollow cylinder. Coating of body ends are made in form of rings with wavy surface formed by uniformly alternating bosses and hollow with same depth equaling 1.3-1.8 ring thickness. To provide for tight cohesion of rings body, their internal side has pins and beads. In this case, the lather are located over outer and inner diameters of ring and their height equals 0.025-0.050 of height of filter element. EFFECT: increased service life of filter element by a factor of 1.5-2 due to its improved design. 1 dwg
