FIELD: industrial organic synthesis. SUBSTANCE: cyclohexanone is prepared via liquid-phase oxidation of cyclohexene by nitrogen monoxide or its mixture with inert gas. Process is conducted at 250-350 V and nitrogen monoxide pressure between 0.01 and 100 atm, preferably in solvent and in presence of catalyst. Recycle of exhausted gases may be utilized. EFFECT: increased selectivity of process and lowered explosion hazard. 11 cl, 5 tbl, 24 ex
