FIELD: industrial organic synthesis. SUBSTANCE: process consists in oxidation of olefins with nitrogen monoxide at 250 to 600 C. Oxidation is generally conducted in presence of heterogeneous catalyst: precious metal combined with oxide or carbon carrier, transition metal oxides, metametal oxides, transition metal oxides combined with metametal oxides, crystalline silicate of general formula yMe2On×El2OnSiO2, where x=0- 6.5 x 10-2, y=0-6.5 x 10-2, Me denotes alkali or alkali-earth metal and/or hydrogen, E1 is at least one of II, III, IV, or V- group elements, n denotes valence of E1 or valence of Me. Crystalline silicate is customarily used with binding agent: aluminum and/or silica and process is typically performed either in nitrogen monoxide excess or in excess of substance being oxidized. Reaction mixture is diluted with gas-carrier, in particular with nitrogen, argon, helium, carbon dioxide, or any of their mixture.
