FIELD: fuel oils. SUBSTANCE: prior to be burned fuel oil is converted into water-mazut emulsion, in particular water and mazut are passed into disperser onto functioning rotor at weight ratio 100:(5- 50). Water and part of mazut are introduced axially and remaining part of mazut radially at an angle 15-20 deg. to radial product discharge line. Utilized mazut with initial moisture content 1.6% is preheated to 40-95 C and water to 30-90 C. EFFECT: improved combustion characteristics and reduced fuel consumption. 3 cl, 2 ex
