FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed internal combustion engine consists one or more cylinders, pistons, cylinder head forming common combustion chamber separated from expansion chambers by valves, and intake and outlet branch pipes. Piston of expansion chamber is connected with different diameter hydraulic cylinders by common rod. Intake valve of each hydraulic cylinder is furnished with additional cylinder whose above-piston space is connected with expansion chamber by pipeline, and under- piston space is connected with main line laid to hydraulic motor. Spring creating force defined by ratio of diameters of piston of expansion chamber and piston of hydraulic cylinder precludes closing of valve. Valves separating combustion chamber from expansion chambers are furnished with additional cylinder connected with combustion chamber by pipeline. According to one of designed versions, hydraulic are used instead of fuel pump and pump delivering cooling liquid into combustion chamber. Said hydraulic cylinders are set into operation by gauge pressure built by compressor. Pressure in combustion chamber is built both owing to combustion of fuel mixture and owing to delivery of compressed gas from gas cylinder plant and evaporator of cryogenic plant.
