FIELD: mechanical engineering; dynamic balancing. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method of measuring angle ϕcw and mass Mcw of counterweight ("light place") for unbalanced object, test weights, masses Mi and Mj with resulting mass M are installed in turn in support points on object so that resulting mass M should displace in plane of balancing to any angle ϕc with step Δϕ;. Vibration speed Vk is measured by vibrometer at each step and relationship between Vk and ϕ is constructed in form of table or in form of "balancing figure" in polar system of coordinates V = (ϕ) and, basing on obtained relationship, angle of counterweight ϕcw in point of minimum of vibration speed Vmin is measured. Version of method is measurement of vibration speed Vo without test weight including two measurements of vibration speeds V1 and V2 with resulting test weight of mass M in points ϕ1 and ϕ2 and determination of mass of counterweight Mcw and angle of counterweight ϕcw from equations V
